Using Bare Minerals Makeup

The Bare Minerals and Bare Essentials mineral makeup ranges are very different from other make up ranges as hey are more natural  and contain only the purest minerals from the earth. Both  ranges can be used by people with very sensitive skin as they are much less damaging to your skin than normal make up due to their natural ingredients. The great thing about Bare Minerals makeup and Bare Essentials mineral makeup ranges is that you can create a radically different look  by slightly altering your application techniques. Although Bare Minerals makeup and Bare Essentials mineral make up look and feel like powders, they should be applied differently from normal make up. Because of their intense colour, Mineral makeup should be applied very sparingly.

For Bare Minerals foundation, shake the jar first. After carefully removing the lid, dip your makeup brush in the residue that is on the inside of the lid. Make sure you tap off any excess powder, otherwise you will end up with a cakey, unnatural  look. If after applying your first layer of Bare Minerals foundation you find that the coverage is not heavy enough, you can simply add another layer. The type of brush you use to apply mineral makeup, both from the Bare Minerals and Bare Essentials mineral makeup ranges, is very important.

You must choose a natural bristle brush and start applying small amounts of Bare Minerals makeup to your face in a circular motion starting at your jaw line. Slowly add more powder until you are satisfied with the coverage.

Bare Minerals and Bare Essentials have also a wonderful range of blushes in a wide array of colors.  Apply the blush to the areas of your cheeks and jawbones that you wish to accentuate by using a soft, fluffy brush. Complete your look with Bare Minerals eye shadow or eyeliner. Both of these can be applied dry for a more subtle look, or wet, to make a much bolder statement.

To apply Bare Essentials eyeliner you will need a very fine brush and  a different natural-bristle brush to apply your Bare Minerals eye shadow. For the best result, choose three complimentary shades of the same basic color. Apply the lightest shade of Bare Minerals makeup over the entire eyelid, from your lashes right up to the brow bone using a soft brush. Use a thin brush to line your eyes with the darkest shade and a small amount of wet eye shadow. Brush the lower part of your eye lid with the middle shade of Bare Minerals eye shadow. If you want a more subtle look you can use the middle shade to soften the harsher eye liner.
